A memorial is now in place on the site of the former Light Car Club of Australia rooms at the corner of Queens Road and Roy Street South Melbourne. The memorial, sponsored by the RACV, was unveiled by former club President Geoff Russell on Monday May 17. It commemorates 68 years of the club’s distinguished motor sport history.

My book on the history of the Light Car Club, Phillip Island to Fangio, is almost ready to go to the printers. There will be an opportunity for VHRR members to pre-order the book at a discounted price, with delivery expected around September. An order form will be placed on the club’s web site soon. Bob Watson
